A Platform Born from the Frontlines of the Cloud Business

The Origin Story: From Domains to Data Centers

RackNap’s roots go back to when we were simply a domain and hosting provider. In those days, the needs of our customers were straightforward — domains, shared hosting, a few email solutions. But as customer expectations evolved, so did we.

We transitioned into a VPS and dedicated server provider, using a range of hypervisors including VMware, Hyper-V, and OpenStack. This shift wasn’t just about technology; it was about understanding deeper infrastructure needs — scalability, performance, and control.

Strategic Alliances: Unlocking Global Cloud Potential

Our journey took a significant turn when we became a direct CSP partner with Microsoft and an advanced consulting partner with AWS. These partnerships gave us firsthand insight into the complexities of cloud billing, provisioning, and lifecycle management.

As we matured, we took on the role of a distributor — not just for any products, but for industry leaders. We became one of the largest distributors for Acronis in APAC and the only global distributor for Akamai Cloud. This expanded our perspective to include the needs of telcos, resellers, and ISVs across regions and verticals.

Built by a Service Provider, for Service Providers

Here’s where RackNap truly stands apart: it wasn’t built in a vacuum. RackNap was first developed to support our own MSP division, ZNetLive. We were our first customer — using RackNap in real-time to manage provisioning, billing, service automation, customer experience, and support. So we didn’t guess what MSPs need — we lived it.

We understood how a hoster thinks, how an MSP operates, how a distributor scales, and how a telco delivers. This end-to-end operational empathy is embedded in every line of RackNap’s code.

Clear Lines, Clear Vision: Two Companies, One Mission

From day one, we were crystal clear that RackNap and ZNetLive would be two distinct divisions. No overlap. No internal bias. Just shared learnings. The experience we gain running ZNetLive as an MSP is directly funneled into enhancing RackNap for our customers.

This separation ensured RackNap would never be limited to ZNetLive’s needs — it would be a universal platform capable of empowering every MSP, hoster, distributor, or telco.

A Platform of Transformation

RackNap is not “just software.” It is a platform of transformation — a living product that has evolved alongside the digital journeys of its users.

It has seen the evolution from shared hosting to cloud marketplaces. It has powered provisioning for startups and compliance for enterprises. It has automated billing in dozens of countries and delivered services for thousands of partners.

Every capability in RackNap — from catalog management to subscription billing, from customer self-service to partner enablement — has been pressure-tested in real-world, high-volume environments.

Empowering the Ecosystem

The final piece of the puzzle: knowledge sharing. RackNap is not just our platform — it is your playbook. Whatever we’ve learned across these years — best practices, pitfalls, optimizations — we’re committed to passing on to our customers and partners.

That’s what makes RackNap different. It’s not a theory. It’s a platform built from experience, refined through practice, and offered with the intent to empower.
